Football Game

I went to the football game today. It was muy bueno. The only disadvantage I could find when compared to watching it at home, is that at home, I don't have to pay $3.50 for water. Though I'm pretty sure I could find a way around that problem if I tried hard enough. It was worth the $30 ticket though. Fo'sho.

RANDOM QUOTES OF THE DAY!!
"Look Martha, they have shoes on!"
-Some random old guy to his wife while walking by the Arkansas band

"I might get a sunburn today..."
"I'm sure hopin' I do!"
-Some Arkansas fans

Attn: People

Usually it is not a good idea to step in front of something that is traveling at you with a high velocity. This includes, but is not limited to, cars, trucks, bicycles, crocodiles, and so on.
It is also generally a good idea to walk along a sidewalk when one is available instead of walking down the middle of the road.

Thank you.

Something I Hate

I hate it when the people in my classes have no idea what's going on. It's even worse when the TA doesn't know what's going on either...

Smithville and Stuff

Yesterday was this years collegiate mountain bike race at Rocky Hill Ranch. Joseph's parents showed up and his dad took some pretty sweet pictures.

I have also discovered a positive correlation between me participating in this race and me throwing up after finishing this race.
I still got 5th (I think), so that's not too bad.

In other news, I've noticed that my RANDOM QUOTE OF THE DAY!! segment has for the most part fallen off the radar. Thusly, I am going to introduce a new segment to my blog to fill in until I start hearing good random quotes again. I now present DUCT TAPE FIXES EVERYTHING!!

Have a bread bag with a hole in it?

Fix it with duct tape!!

I thought the butt-slapping was gay enough...

Saturday night me and Chris were watching the USC v. Ohio State football game. One of the players was tackled pretty violently. To quote the announcer:

"He just exploded inside of him!!!"

Hurricane of DEATH

I went to the grocery store yesterday, and at first was a little confused as to why I had to park about as far away as possible from the entrance as well as why it seemed like every person that lived in Austin had converged on the HEB. But soon enough I noticed the contents of everybody's carts: cases of bottled water and canned food. They were all preparing for the Hurricane Ike P. to come wipe out Austin today. I bought some ice cream and waited in line to get out the door. Yes you did read that right; there was a line to leave the store.

Anywho, today rolls around and I wake up and take a look at the weather forecast:

And a little further down the page:

It was actually a little cloudy until a few hours ago. Now it's nice and sunny with a nice little breeze...

I sure hope those people in the store yesterday like beans and water.

Borked no more!

My laptop is fixed!!
Well, kinda. I managed to turn off the doohicky that was stopping Windows from loading all the way. So until I need to use it (hopefully never), NO MORE PROBLEM!!
Though I'll probably call the tech support guy tomorrow (gogo Gold Level - I DON'T GET INDIA!!)and see if he can tell me how to actually fix it.

In other news, stupid hurricane Ike P. is probably going to cause the race this weekend to be canceled. We could really use the rain though.

Other than that, there isn't much excitement in my life right now. Lately it's been getting the computer to work. Maybe something cool will happen tomorrow...

I'm about to throw my computer into a lake.

7 hours

That's how much riding I got in this weekend. Not too shabby.
Today I also made a sweet map for the Dirt Derby. I'll post a picture after the race on Tuesday, as it must remain top secret until then. Not really. Maybe I'll put a picture up tomorrow. Or now...

Keys

Last night I managed to lock my keys in the studio.

I'm hoping I canceled out that stupidity by by using a straw to pick the lock today and get them back.

It must be the hair

I went to Smoothie King the other day. The guy was all like "hey Kyle, you want a medium Angel Food with yogurt?" And then I was all like, "yeah."

Then I went to Starbucks another day, and the girl was all like "do you want your mocha hot or cold?" And I was all like, "cold please."

The Long Overdue Camp Eagle Race Report

Yep, finally here!
I think this was the first time I camped before a cross country race. It wasn't that bad. Except for the whole being hot thing, but still...

The Super D was Saturday morning. It went alright. I wasn't sure what to expect, but got 5th.
Then I went for a preride and decided that the course was definatly not one of my favorties (read: hardtail + lots of rocks = no bueno).

A short break followed that, then it was time to put back on the same kit I was wearing in the morning and go race the short track. It went alot better than the Super D, and despite starting really slow, like to the point people were asking what was wrong, I was able to pick it up good enough in the second half of the race to get 3rd!

That night I ate way too much at the "all you can eat" pasta dinner. But it was good.

The next morning was the XC. I wasn't expecting too much, but I still managed to have a decent race and get 6th. Bennett won by four minutes, so that was cool.

In other news, the Campus Computer Store is officially really stupid.
