Thought for the day

People are always saying Texas has better Mexican food than most other places, since it is so much closer to Mexico. Following this same concept, would that mean that Japan has really good Chinese food?

State Crit

I really sucked it up today. Still not sure why either...

3 weeks until the Matrix Challenge. I'll take that with a side of redemption please.

I just got to drive Scott's Porsche. I don't think I went fast enough for him...

Track Racing

So, I had my three upgrade for the track at the end of last season, but that got lost in the computer system somewhere, and my liscense had me listed as a 5. So did the USAC records. Lovely. As far as the officials knew, I hadn't even taken the track class yet. I convinced them to let me race, though I had to do the fours race instead of the threes.

But, whatever, it was easier to make money that way. I ended up getting 2nd overall for the night, with a 2nd, 3rd, and W in the individual races. Good enough to get my my moms entry fee back.

Many thanks to Mr. AJ for cleaning my chain while simultaniously trying to remove the end of his thumb via my rear sprocket.

A Day With Keith

We were talking about a bunch of camping stuff he had just bought and he started telling me about how he had been plannning to go hiking with this girl, but now she has a boyfriend who isn't too hot on her going camping with some other guy...

The end of the conversation (there may be some paraphrasing, but overall, it will be accurate enough):

Keith: "I don't know what I'm going to do now... I don't want my first camping/hiking trip to be by myself. That could turn out really bad"

Me: "I know right, now you don't have anyone to eat if it turns out you aren't capable of catching any food..."

Keith: "And trust me, I would definitly like to eat her."

Recent Happenings

Wednesday:
It rained alot. Then it stopped, but there was a crazy lightning storm going on, so me and Willis decided to go out and watch it. Funny thing though, when we decided to stop in the park at midnight, some cop saw us. I now know that park curfew is 10:30. But it seemed (luckily) that the cop had better things to do than write us a ticket, so that was nice.

Thurday:
Me and John and some of John's friends decided to go play laser tag. We ended up matched against this group of 50ish year old ladies. After that we went and chased ducks at a pond.

I'm in the hotel for the X-Bar race tomorrow. The race should be good. There is even a chance I can finish in the top 10 for the series. I'll report back tomorrow or monday.

There is something stuck under my "L" key, so I may be missing some...

The race, well, pretty much sucked... I got a bad start with missing my pedal and being on the second row as it was, and got stuck behind some guy in the woods who at one point actually turned around to ask me if he was going slow... But I finished and stuff, pulled off a 10th somehow... Meh...

I drove home today. It rained the entire way, except when I stopped for anything the rain stopped too. That was nice.

Edit: Sweet! Whatever was under my "L" is gone now too bad I have problems with semicolons now... (Please note the humor in that statement?)

Slurpee

I just bought a Slurpee, and I'm really tempted to sit here and rub the straw on the lid to make that annoying squeek, just for the pleasure of knowing it will be annoying the roomate.

Another Complaint About Jester...

Remember a few days ago when I was complaining about the single loading zone parking space outside of Jester? Yeah, well they redid the parking lot over the weekend to add more parking spaces, but it seems that they decided that one loading zone was too many, so now there are ZERO loading zone spaces for Jester. Next year will be so nice...
