Kyle does not enjoy studying

And will apparently be referring to himself in the third person...

Kyle also went riding today (to avoid studying), then he went to IKEA with Chris (also to avoid studying).
Whilst at IKEA, Kyle purchased a shelf and some cookies and some plants. The cookies are good, the plants will probably be making a journey to Dallas pretty soon (because Kyle doesn't trust Jeff to water them), and the shelf would be on the wall already, but it didn't come with screws, and most hardware stores aren't open at 10:30, so it will have to wait, possibly until January, because Kyle has quite a bit of studying to do tomorrow...

El Dirt Derby

There was an ominous green and yellow blob moving towards Austin all day, according to the weather radar. It seemed to stall out though, and the Derby was on!
Somewhere on the way there, though, the wind started picking up and was gusting somewhere around 35mph. It started getting cold too.

I opted out of warming up, because it didn't seem like it would be very worth it. So, we start, and let me say, there were some awesome tailwind sections! The rest of the course, well, it was one of those things where pedaling downhill took a lot of effort... A couple laps in, I realized that the dirt was hitting me so hard it felt like raindrops. The next lap, I realized that it had started raining. They called the race, and everyone packed up and got out as fast as we could, but not before it started hailing...

I got 4th.

Quote of the Day

Sofia - "Joseph, look, you got mayonnaise on your pants."
Joseph - "No, that's not mayonnaise..."
.
.
.
.
.
Joseph - "It's a little tear."

Speaking of Joseph, we're living together next year. Maybe he'll actually start riding his bike again.

/Can't think of good title

I went riding yesterday. It was cold and stuff. Fairly directly that leads to the main portion of this post, reasons that it is good to ride in cold weather!!

-Uphills are more enjoyable because you get warm
-By wearing more stuff, you can represent / pretend to have more sponsors than normal
-Random people think you must be some crazy serious bike rider type person (read: fast) if you're out riding in the cold

See?! Everyone who says the winter isn't good for riding outside is so wrong! Clearly riding in the cold is the best time!! Yeah!!

In other news, here is a picture of all the x-acto knife blades I used in studio this semester:
