Awesome Physics Question of the Day

"If 10% of an iceburg is above the water, what percentage of it is below the water?"

Oh no, I better bust out my calculator and formula sheet!!

More from Awesome Physics

Last night my professor claimed to be the person that came up with the theory that "loud rock music can damage your hearing." He came up with this when he was either 19 or 22 - he couldn't remember for sure.

This weekend could have gone better...

I think I figured out why I'm not riding so good right now though. It will be remedied soon.

AT+T Crit

I got to Austin and proceeded to drive around for 45 minutes before I found a parking spot... Sweet.

Then I went and got my numbers (and the last 8 safety pins!) and out them on my jersey.

Then it started raining. Rather hard. Long story short, our race was delayed for 30 minutes.

I made it about half way through the race before getting pulled. I like to think that I could have done better with a dry course, but it's really hard to say, so whatever.

Read Chris' account of "Skateboard Guy".

Andrew was the top U23 finisher in the P1 race and won a jersey.

Tomorrow should go better and stuff.

Awesome Physics

My group was doing this experiment thing last night that involved this thing that spun in a circle with a weight that pulled on a spring... It tested the force of gravity or something.

Anyway, we were doing our thing when the professor came over and asked if we had calibrated the machine right. I told him we had, and (long story short) he started messing with it anyway and broke it. Awesome.

I'm pretty sure the power is still out at my house too. But I would have no way of knowing, since I'm still in physics. That's right. I'm in class... typing my blog :0

Muy Caliente

Sundays race went better than saturdays. But thta still doesn't mean it was awesome super great or anything. Mainly because I am not at all used to riding in this heat. I plan on riding around 1:00 most days this week in attempt to fix that problem before the AT&T, which I may be attending.

Right now I'm about to go learn how to reglue the tires on my Zipps. This should be some good fun.

Bar Tape

I reccomend Arundel Gecko Grip Bar Tape. Because it feels cool. Also because the box has awesome instructions on it.

I discovered that it does not make you faster, however...

Ignore that last statemant, and go buy some. NOW!

So I Lied...

There will eventually be video, but I have to re-figure out how to do all that nonsense again first... It will be worth it whenever it gets here!

In other news: community college summer classes are really boring. Who could have guessed. Just about the only entertaining thing is listening to the other people in the class answer questions - bringing me directly to the...

RANDOM QUOTE OF THE DAY!!:

Professor - "So this equation doesn't contain our answer or any of the information we have. Was writing it a waste of time?"

Some girl - "No."

Bump N Grind

Accomplishment 1: I actually finished this year, and didn't leave the park in an ambulance!!

Accomplishment 2: I finished the 34 miles in under three hours!

Accomplishment 3: I didn't get last!

The course is quite a bit of fun, but the 1200 feet of climbing per lap will really wear you down. Needless to say, I slept quite a bit of the way to *Somewhere*, Louisiana, where we are staying the night before finishing the drive in the morning.
